Amanda Slattery

Special Education Coordinator, CPI Trainer, Northland Learning Center

Amanda Slattery is a Special Education Coordinator and CPI Trainer for the Northland Learning Center in Virginia, MN.  

Amanda has worked within the field of special education for fourteen years and has experience working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade with a variety of educational needs. She is passionate about supporting students, families, and staff in the school districts she serves.  Through her role as a coordinator and CPI trainer, Amanda has developed an interest in digging into behaviors to determine student needs and supports. She also enjoys the area of high school transition planning to assist students in reaching their post-secondary goals. 

Amanda graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point with a degree in Special Education and most recently added Coordinator of Work Based Learning from Bethel to her licensure.  She has been a certified CPI Trainer for the past 5 years for Northland Learning Center and its member districts.

Live Session: August 10th at 10:15 AM CST - 11:15 AM CST & 11:30 AM CST - 12:30 PM CST

This session will focus on functions of behavior and how to collect data to discover patterns, hypothesize the function, and create a plan to support students. We will also dive into de-escalation strategies and discuss how behavior influences behavior (BIB).
